Repair service for fans and electric motors
CometFans provides a specialised repair service for fans and electric motors, designed to minimise plant downtime and ensure maximum operational continuity of production lines.
Interventions can include the replacement of worn components, complete overhaul of the electromechanical parts and restoration of the machine’s original performance. The service covers both
CometFans products and other leading brands on the market, in compliance with current regulations and the manufacturer’s technical specifications. Scheduled maintenance plans can be arranged on request to optimise costs and reliability over the long term.
Retrofit and revamping of existing installations
The retrofit and revamping activities offered by CometFans make it possible to upgrade existing installations, improving their energy efficiency, reliability and compliance with the latest regulations, without necessarily replacing the entire plant.
Through a preliminary technical analysis, critical components and possible upgrade solutions are identified, such as the adoption of new fans, high-efficiency motors or advanced control systems.
The aim is to maximise the value of the investments already made by the customer, reducing consumption and maintenance costs while increasing the overall performance of the ventilation system. Activities are planned to minimise the impact on production and keep downtime to a minimum.
Analysis and testing to ISO 5801 standard
CometFans offers a dedicated fan analysis and testing service, aimed at verifying the correct operation of the machines and comparing actual performance with design performance.
Checks may include measurements of flow rate, pressure, power absorption and efficiency, as well as monitoring for any operating anomalies. Based on the results, it is possible to identify any critical issues, propose corrective interventions or suggest optimisation solutions, such as operational changes, targeted replacements or extraordinary maintenance work.
All activities are carried out with suitable measuring instruments and qualified personnel, in compliance with the relevant technical standards.

Noise surveys
On-site noise surveys measure the sound level generated by fans and plants, assessing compliance with the limits set by current regulations and customer specifications.
CometFans carries out measurements using suitable sound level meters, collecting data useful for identifying any sources of acoustic disturbance and determining their impact on the working or surrounding environment. Based on the results, targeted mitigation solutions can be proposed, such as component interventions, acoustic shielding or changes to operating conditions.
The service supports the customer in maintaining high standards of acoustic comfort and safety.
Vibration surveys
Vibration surveys are carried out directly on site to monitor the dynamic behaviour of fans, motors and support structures, with the aim of preventing failures and reducing the risk of plant downtime.
Through the analysis of vibration parameters, it is possible to identify imbalances, misalignments, mechanical play or other phenomena that could compromise machine reliability. CometFans provides qualified personnel and specific instrumentation, able to interpret the data collected and suggest the most appropriate corrective actions, such as balancing, tightening or targeted replacements.
This type of service integrates effectively with predictive maintenance and condition monitoring programmes.
Performance surveys
On-site performance surveys verify that installed fans are operating in line with the declared characteristic curves and the project requirements, measuring parameters such as air flow, pressure, temperature and electrical absorption.
CometFans carries out these checks with suitable measuring instruments, processing the data collected to assess deviation from reference conditions. This makes it possible to identify any efficiency losses, non-optimal sizing or operating conditions that do not match expectations.
Based on the results, technical recommendations are provided to optimise the system, for example through adjustments, replacements or targeted revamping interventions.
