ATEX Fans
Most of the Comet fan series can be supplied in a version for classified areas. In particular, all fans in the AF / AFH / AFT / CNX / CF series can be supplied in an ATEX-certified version.
All Comet fans of this type are fitted with motors and components from leading European brands, rigorously certified, inspected and registered to enable full traceability.
The design, construction and full testing of the finished products are carried out by Comet in accordance with the procedures set out in the ATEX Technical File, lodged with a Notified Body.
Comet fans are certified in accordance with the following categories:

The general characteristics and performance of the products in the various series do not change when manufactured in ATEX versions, and a high degree of fan customisation remains possible according to the installation and project specifications.
Standard configurations:
- impellers in steel, stainless steel, aluminium, FRP or PAGAS
- three-phase motors IP55/IP65, Class F or H, T3/T4, Ex-N/Ex-d, 50/60Hz, suitable for inverter duty
- casings in carbon steel or stainless steel, electro-welded, with bolted anti-spark band
- cables and electrical components from leading, certified brands
- ATEX certificate and test certificate supplied for each individual unit

Special versions with specific characteristics, dimensions and certifications can be supplied on request.
