Axial Impellers

Comet Fans’ axial impeller production is organised into two series with aluminium blades: MAP and AVP.

The MAP series is ideal for large installations, supporting diameters up to 12 metres, and allows convenient adjustment of the blade pitch angle while stationary.

The AVP series shares the same type of blades as the MAP series, with the same characteristics of high efficiency and low noise emission, but is fitted with a pneumatic device for automatic pitch variation of the blades while running, supplied complete with a rotary joint for connection to the supply line and a precision positioning valve. This allows continuous, precise regulation of the airflow as the plant’s thermal conditions vary, with very low hysteresis and high control repeatability. An air-lock valve is also available on request, to lock the blade position in the event of a malfunction in the supply circuit.

All Comet Fans impellers, both MAP and AVP, are fitted with high-efficiency, low-noise aerofoil-profile blades. Special versions are also available for both series for critical operating conditions or particular environments (such as low temperatures, high power, corrosive environments or ATEX certification). Custom configurations can be supplied on request.
