Validation

Every new product, and every re-engineered or customised version of an existing product, undergoes a rigorous validation process, including various types of tests and checks, aimed at providing clear data on the machine’s performance, characteristics and degree of reliability.

The main tests included in a standard internal validation process may include:

• Performance tests (ISO 5801)
• Noise tests (ISO 13347)
• Vibration tests (ISO 14694 – 14695)
• Electrical tests:
  • Current absorption
  • Continuity
  • Insulation
  • Heating
• Duty-cycle simulation
• Overspeed tests
• Shock and Vibration test (EN 61373)

Depending on requirements, these are supplemented by:

• Fatigue tests
• Climatic chamber tests
• Specific tests on surface coatings:
  • Salt spray tests
  • Adhesion tests
  • Thickness measurements
• Dynamic excitation tests on components
• Water-tightness tests
• Impact resistance tests

The presence at our production site of a state-of-the-art Test Room allows many of these tests to be scheduled and carried out quickly, and makes it possible, during the development phase, to act rapidly on the design based on test results
