History
Comet was founded in 1975 and has been manufacturing impellers and axial fans for all the main rail and industrial applications since 1992.
Over the years, the company has gradually expanded its product range and its market presence, becoming one of the leading European manufacturers in the sector.
Some significant milestones:
- 1995: ISO9001 certification obtained
- 1996: Delivery of impeller number 10,000
- 1999: Relocation to the Solaro site, north of Milan
- 2001: Filing of the ATEX technical file for II2G and II2D certification
- 2003: Introduction of the new AFT and AFH series
- 2003: Doubling of production floor space
- 2008: EN15085/DIN6700 Welding certification obtained
- 2011: CometFans joins the Microelettrica Scientifica – Knorr-Bremse group.
- 2016: Relocation to the Buccinasco site, at the same location as the parent company Microelettrica.
