AFH Series
Serie di Ventilatori CometFans AFH per settore navale
In offshore installations, air management and temperature control are key factors in ensuring safety and operational efficiency. The AF series is used in a variety of contexts, including:
- Exhaust extractors for shipyard garages: essential for quickly removing exhaust fumes generated by vehicles inside holds or on garage decks, helping to maintain safe working conditions and good air quality.
- Ventilation of engine rooms: essential for ensuring proper air exchange and preventing heat build-up that could compromise the operation of engines and electrical equipment.
- Cooling of electrical systems and switchboards: useful for dissipating the heat generated by on-board systems, ensuring that optimum operating temperatures are maintained.
- Cooling of WAPS (Wind-Assisted Propulsion Systems): wind-assisted propulsion systems, such as rigid sails and Flettner rotors, require adequate cooling for their actuators, control systems and moving parts, thereby ensuring efficiency and operational reliability even in adverse weather conditions.
Thanks to their robust construction and corrosion-resistant materials, these fans are also suitable for harsh marine environments, characterised by high humidity, salinity and extreme temperature fluctuations.
Impellers with high-efficiency, low-noise airfoil blades and variable mounting from a stationary position:
- Aluminium alloys
- Polypropylene (PP)
- Carbon steel
- Stainless steel AISI 304 / AISI 316
- Glass fibre-reinforced polyester (FRP)
- Polyamide (PA)
Balancing:
- Compliant with ISO 14694 and ISO 21940 standards, ensuring minimal vibration during operation.
Construction and Surface Treatments
- Fabrications: Manual and robotic welding carried out in accordance with specific naval regulations, such as the guidelines of the Italian Naval Register (RINA), ASME.
- Painting: Powder or liquid coating cycles compliant with ISO 9227 for corrosion resistance in marine environments.
- Hot-Dip Galvanising: In accordance with ISO 1461, for long-lasting protection against corrosion.
- Anodising: Applicable to aluminium components, in compliance with DIN 8580.
- Pickling and Passivation: For stainless steel components, improving corrosion resistance.
- Motors: three-phase AC IP66, class F or H, 50/60Hz, from 2 to 16 poles.
