Serie AF
Comet Fans AF Fan Series for Marine Applications
In offshore installations, air management and temperature control are key factors in ensuring safety and operational efficiency. The AF series is used in a variety of contexts, including:
- Exhaust extractors for shipyard garages: essential for quickly removing exhaust fumes generated by vehicles inside holds or on garage decks, helping to maintain safe working conditions and good air quality.
- Ventilation of engine rooms: essential for ensuring proper air exchange and preventing heat build-up that could compromise the operation of engines and electrical equipment.
- Cooling of electrical systems and switchboards: useful for dissipating the heat generated by on-board systems, ensuring that optimum operating temperatures are maintained.
- Cooling of WAPS (Wind-Assisted Propulsion Systems): wind-assisted propulsion systems, such as rigid sails and Flettner rotors, require adequate cooling for their actuators, control systems and moving parts, thereby ensuring efficiency and operational reliability even in adverse weather conditions.
Thanks to their robust construction and corrosion-resistant materials, these fans are also suitable for harsh marine environments, characterised by high humidity, salinity and extreme temperature fluctuations.
Impellers: High-efficiency, low-noise aerofoil-profile blades, with pitch adjustable while stationary.
