MAP Series
On board ships, MAP impellers ensure ventilation of engine rooms and cooling of main and auxiliary engines. Their robust structure and anti-corrosion materials make them ideal for marine environments, while modularity allows them to be adapted to confined spaces without compromising performance. The aerodynamic design ensures consistent airflows with low noise and vibration levels, improving comfort and operational safety.
Blades:
- Made of extruded aluminium alloy with an aerofoil profile optimised to reduce turbulence and noise.
- Also available in special materials (FRP, PPG) for corrosive environments or ATEX applications.
Hubs:
Types F, P, D, designed for different diameters and loads.
Aluminium alloy or steel structure, with high mechanical strength.
Number of blades: from 3 to 16, configurable according to airflow and pressure requirements.
Available diameters:
- MAP F Series: 350 ÷ 1.000mm
- MAP P Series: 500 ÷ 3.100mm
- MAP D Series: 1.000 ÷ 12.000mm
Blade pitch angle adjustment:
Ability to adjust the blade pitch while stationary to optimise the performance curve.
Operational Technical Parameters
- Maximum tip speed: up to 70 m/s (depending on diameter and configuration).
- Airflow: calculated using Comet Fans software, variable according to diameter, number of blades and pitch angle.
- Dynamic balancing to ISO standards to reduce vibration and extend service life.
Certifications and Standards
- ATEX for environments with explosion risk.
- Compliance with ISO standards for safety and balancing.
- Impellers can be supplied with anti-corrosion treatments for marine or chemical environments.
Competitive Advantages
- Extreme modularity: customisation of diameter, number of blades and hub.
- Noise reduction thanks to the optimised aerofoil profile.
- Energy efficiency: lower consumption for the same airflow.
- Durability: materials and treatments designed for demanding environments.
- Engine room ventilation for cargo and naval vessels.
- Cooling systems for main and auxiliary engines.
- Air coolers for propulsion and power generation systems.
