CometFans AFT belt-driven axial fans guarantee efficient ventilation and cooling for power and energy plants, adapting speed and performance to different operating requirements. MAP and AVP impellers ensure high energy efficiency and reliability, while the robust casing withstands the high temperatures and corrosive atmospheres typical of the sector.
Available in many configurations and corrosion-resistant materials, AFT fans are designed to well-established criteria and selected using the “CometFan” software. The versatility of the blades (from 3 to 12 per impeller) provides the ideal solution for every energy-sector application.
AFT series fans are designed to guarantee maximum efficiency and reliability in industrial and offshore environments. Available in three configurations – AFTE with external motor, AFTS with vertical shaft for aircoolers and AFTN with internal motor – they offer versatile solutions for every application requirement.
The impellers, fitted with high-efficiency, low-noise airfoil blades, allow variable pitch adjustment both at standstill (MAP) and in motion (AVP). Made from quality materials such as aluminium alloy, FRP, PP and PA, they are balanced to the ISO 21940 standard to guarantee optimal performance.
The casing, in carbon steel or AISI 316/304 stainless steel, is built with manual and robotic welding compliant with ASME Section IX. Surface treatments include ISO 12944 anti-corrosion painting, hot-dip galvanising, anodising and passivation to withstand the most aggressive environments.
The motors, available in three-phase AC or DC versions, offer IP56-IP66 protection ratings and comply with IEC and NEMA standards. ATEX and IECEx certified options are available for hazardous areas (gas and dust), with TEFC or increased-safety solutions to ensure safe and efficient operation.
The range is completed by dedicated accessories such as pressure, temperature and vibration sensors, protection guards, certified connectors and cabling. All products comply with the strictest international standards, including IEC 60034, NEMA MG-1, API 541/547, ATEX 2014/34/EU and IECEx.
