AFT Series
CometFans AFT Series fans for dust filtration and abatement
AFT series fans are designed to ensure efficiency and reliability in dust filtration and abatement systems, guaranteeing correct airflow in industrial dedusting processes. Speed and performance regulation allows adaptation to the different operating conditions typical of environmental treatment plants.
MAP and AVP impellers ensure high efficiency and low noise levels, while the robust casing withstands the humid atmospheres and aggressive environments typical of filtration processes. Available in numerous configurations and corrosion-resistant materials, AFT fans are designed according to well-established criteria. The versatility of the blades, from 3 to 12 per impeller, makes it possible to achieve the ideal solution for every dust abatement application. They are suitable for high flow rates and medium-low pressures, with a range of diameters from 800 mm to 5000 mm.
Typical applications include industrial dedusting plants, local exhaust systems, air treatment units for dusty environments, low-noise installations, large diameters where direct coupling between impeller and motor is not possible, environments with very humid air harmful to the electric motor, and situations where, due to regulations or plant requirements, the motor must be placed outside the airflow.
The three available configurations are AFTE (external motor), AFTS (vertical shaft, motor suspended below the shell) and AFTN (internal motor).
The impellers, fitted with high-efficiency, low-noise airfoil blades, allow variable pitch adjustment both at standstill (MAP) and in motion (AVP).
Made from quality materials such as aluminium alloy, FRP, PP and PA, they are balanced to the ISO 21940 standard to guarantee optimal performance.
The casing, in carbon steel or AISI 316/304 stainless steel, is built with manual and robotic welding compliant with ASME Section IX. Surface treatments include ISO 12944 anti-corrosion painting, hot-dip galvanising, pickling and passivation to withstand the aggressive environments typical of dedusting processes.
The motors, available in three-phase AC or DC versions, offer IP56-IP66 protection ratings and comply with IEC standards. ATEX and IECEx certified options are available for dust hazard zones, with TEFC or increased-safety solutions to ensure safe and efficient operation.
The range is completed by dedicated accessories such as pressure, temperature and vibration sensors, protection guards, certified connectors and cabling. All products comply with applicable international standards, including IEC 60034, ATEX 2014/34/EU and IECEx.
